C Nationals Next Week

C Nationals Only a Week Away!

PYC will be hosting the C-Scow National Championship Regatta  June 14th – 16th.

PYC friends, please come out to cheer for your favorite local sailor, or just enjoy the view of 65+ boats competing. The event begins with registration on Thursday afternoon @ 4:00. The grill and bar will be open during this time, so come by and welcome the competitors to Pewaukee.

Friday after racing please bring an appetizer to share and to help welcome the racers. If you want to stay for more fun, Mary Carol DeGuire has a mouth-watering chicken dinner planned for $25. You must RSVP with Mary Carol at 262-691-8694 by noon on Tuesday, June 11.

Saturday will be another full day of sailing (weather permitting), followed by fun evening starting off with a tasty dinner prepared by PYC Celebrity Chefs Pete and Nancy Feichtmeier along with their Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties. After dinner, end the night with music from the great band that the C Fleet Captain Cody Ziegler has lined up. We hope to see lots of you on the dance floor!

Saturday dinner is also $25 and there are limited spaces available on a first come first serve basis, so contact Mary Carol DeGuire  soon (by Tuesday, June 11 at  noon at the latest)  at 262-691-8694 to reserve your spot.

Sunday will be more sailing, followed by the awards ceremony. We are still looking for a few helping hands, especially with boat taxi service on race days. If you are able to help, contact Lesa Gutenkunst at 262-336-5902.

We hope you can all come participate, either as a competitor, volunteer, spectator or friendly PYC ambassador and bar patron during this event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to show off our clubs facilities and welcoming atmosphere.

Housekeeping Notes:

All dry-sailed boats must be removed from the parking lots during this time in order to accommodate regatta traffic.

Space will be at a premium within the club as much as in the parking lots so please pick up your Annuals from the club as soon as possible so they don’t have to be stored.
