Venue:

Pewaukee Yacht Club, N22W28204 Edgewater Dr, Pewaukee WI. This event will be a wet sail regatta. All competitors should bring an anchor, buoy and at least 30’ of line.

Eligibility:

The regatta is open to Class C Scows. Helms-persons MUST be Regular Members of the NCSSA.  You can become an NCSSA member by completing and submitting the NCSSA registration form and fee via the Organizing Authority’s website (www.cscow.org).

Registration:

The registration fee is for 2 sailors per boat that includes light breakfast, lunches, on Friday through Sunday, and dinners for Friday and Saturday. Extra lunches and dinners are available. We ask that you pre-order as many of the extra lunches and Friday / Saturday dinners as possible so that we have a sufficient supply.  Regatta shirts are also available to order via the registration form.   Take a look at a sample here and place your order when you register below.

Fees:

The entry fee is $175 if paid or postmarked by May 15th, 2019.

The entry fee is $225 from May 15th, 2019 through the close of registration.

Junior skippers age 25 and under as of June 14th, 2019 will have their entry fee waived provided they are NCSSA members. However, this entry fee waiver does not include lunches and dinners. Juniors should consider ordering lunches and dinners prior to May 31st to get the discounted price.

Extra Lunches:

$10 if by May 15th

$15 after May 15th

Extra Dinners:

$20 if by May 15th

$25 after May 15th

Schedule:

Thursday, June 13th, 2019

– 4:00pm – 8:00pm Registration & launching.

Friday, June 14th, 2019

– 8:00am – 9:00am – Late Registration by appointment only

– 9:00am – Competitors Meeting.

– 9:30am – Hour signal for Race 1.

– Other racing to follow at the discretion of the Race Committee.

– Dinner with free appetizers and first keg of beer after sailing at PYC

Saturday, June 15th, 2019

– TBD Warning signal-first race of the day.

– After last race – Dinner Party

Sunday, June 16th, 2019

– TBD Warning signal-first race of the day. (Note: If three or more races have been sailed, no warning signal after 1:00pm.  If less than three races have been sailed, there will be no warning signal after 2:30pm).

– Lunch and Awards Ceremony after completion of the final race

Scoring:

The Low Point System, RRS A4, will apply, except that RRS A2 is changed so that each boat’s total score will be the sum of her scores for all races unless six or more races are completed. If six races or more races are completed, each boat shall discard her worst score, except when prohibited under RRS 90.3(b).

Mooring:

This event will be a wet sail regatta. All competitors should bring an anchor, buoy and at least 30’ of line. No boats may be dry sailed from the PYC. Boats may be dry sailed on lifts or trailers kept at personal locations other than the PYC.

Trailer Parking:

After launching your boat, please follow signage to designated area for empty trailer parking.

Rules:

The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be published and be posted on the official notice board located at the club.

Racing Area:

The racing will be on the water of Pewaukee Lake.

Radio Communication:

Flags will be the primary means of communication on the water; however, the Race Committee will attempt to make VHF radio contact regarding OCS, weather issues, safety concerns, and other actions of the RC where clarification might be helpful to the competitors. The competitor channel will be posted.

Spectator Boats:

Spectator boats are available on a limited basis. Your best chance is to make yourself available on one of the PYC piers at least 30 minutes prior to racing.

Awards:

NCSSA race winner trophies will be awarded for each race.

Trophies also will be awarded to the skipper and two crew finishing 1st – 10th, and the top Master, top Junior and top Female Skipper.

Media:

Competitors give absolute right and permission for video footage or photographs of themselves or their boat generated during any racing or at any event at the PYC for the regatta to be published in any media for press, editorial or advertising purposes.

Housing:

There is limited housing with PYC members on a first come, first served basis. Please email us and we will do our best to find housing. Please contact Fritz Good at pfgood27@gmail.com prior to May 25th and we will try very hard to accommodate you.
